still attribute my quit to an adventitious nutrition and lung cleanse. I no longer crave it to curb cravings. Instead i incorporate the ingredients into my diet to maintain their benefits daily.  I truly do believe that the cravings after the nicotine is out of your body are all in the heed.  If you truly wish to never smoke over again, theoretically , you should not have a desire to smoke and hence no cravings.   If you lot secretly "desire "  information technology fifty-fifty subconsciously,   your hidden will undermine you.   Most is acquired by fear of how to deal with stress without a cigarette in your hand.  What stress practise you have?. Write them down. Almost of us volition observe that the stresses we face up are about quilt for smoking, worrying nearly the effects on our health, pressure from doctors and family to quit. So when we quit, we eliminate all that stress.  We no longer require the cigarette as a crutch.. Replace the "habit" with a positive one, knitting, playing and instrument, juggling,  writing, crosswords, practice etc... and never look back.

Ok. looks like i can copy and paste. I promise i tin put my posted comments and thoughts in an gild that y'all tin sympathize.

5 days and 3 hours ago     HOW I QUIT IN LESS THAN two WEEKS
    Link to this post
I hadn't planned on quitting, just wanted to eat healthier and then i went on the Mediterranean diet, which is a manner of eating, rather than a nutrition. While researching the all-time foods, i came across this lung detox. 2 weeks ago i found this lung detox fabricated of natural ingredients, onions, turmeric and ginger root. An like shooting fish in a barrel to make recipe that lasted me 11 days. Meanwhile,  I wanted to cut out a few cigarettes by but having to get off my duff to get them. I smoked my way up to about 30 /twenty-four hours over 40 years. Cut down to 25 this way over a week  On the 8th day i got up and didn't attain for a cigarette first thing, didn't experience the demand, so i put it off as long as i could. That day i got downwardly to 3 (6X0.5) cigarettes. The side by side day i had five and the following twenty-four hours i had 4. That morning i had two drags and felt such a nicotine rush that i put it down. That meant there was very fiddling nicotine left in my system and now was the time to deed.... why prolong it?  This is challenge enough getting this far, merely non uncomfortable. I did not  realize that it was the ginger that prevents nausea, onions antioxidants, and the curcumin in turmeric combined curbed cravings. (recipe is on line to google). I also add together dearest to the shot glass i apply to take it. (did non add the sugar every bit i am trying to cut refined foods)  Drinking water helps to flush toxins out , then  I drank plenty during this time. Ate iii nutritious meals of whole foods, not sugar and processed, and ate snacks like apple slices with cinnamon, frozen pineapple. dark 80% chocolate square as a reward. I am not a dessert eater, but i made a very good for you carrot block with walnuts, no sugar or oil, merely substituted an apple tree . This recipe had you melt downwards the raw ingredients and and then add the flour etc to broil. Dense merely so moist and delicious. I gnawed on frozen pieces to pass some cravings.

I do hate to meet so many struggling and promise some of these ideas may help new comers. Of form no two bodies are the same and if y'all have medical problems y'all should consult your doctor. This worked for me. At present for the part of mind over  affair. . the psychological cravings ... merely i am nicotine gratis

i WATCHED THE CBQ method of cessation which is pretty much how i quit ( i hadn't seen it)

I have every reason to believe that your side by side quit will be successful. Why? Considering you lot Want to quit.  Your by quit gave you the tools to do then once more. I accept many posts that may be of assistance. I am on Day half-dozen , cold turkey , past the stage of nicotine withdraw which is the hardest to go through, I have no cravings considering i truly WANT  to quit. The cigarette no longer beacons to me. A few things helped:

    1) support and techniques learned here the 4 D's  Larn them, Do them!

ii) Lung detox...(not as scary equally it may sound and like shooting fish in a barrel to practice)  i find out the ginger and turmeric helps cravings (and so much then that i quit without even intending to) and as well as its many health benefits, besides suppresses hunger.  ( find it on line, merely ask a medico if on meds)   I am  taking the ingredients in separate meals  at present    Ginger and Turmeric are two spices in Curry powder, dearest and h2o, fried onions... sounds scary eh?    ( the mixture lasts for 10 days, ii TB morning and 2 Tbs. again at dark earlier bed)

iii) CBQ cessation seminar (on line for costless, and a second gratis webinar earlier they ask for money. I pretty much did their course, on my ain earlier even knowing about it.  A must do to gain knowledge and more than tools to quit.

    4) A fellow member mentioned Dopamine and Eagerquit replyed with  a plan on Netflix which explained it well.  Bill Nye'southward Saves the World. Flavour 3 episode iii about Habit. Thank you again for that tip Eagerquit.

    Hello Coach and Fellow supporters

My spouse still smokes right beside me and information technology doesn't bother me. I have decided to QUIT. and that is exactly what i mean, non try, non concord out , not practice my best to .   I Quit,      just like quitting a job (lol, and i did that likewise) never going back. At that place are reason for why you experience the way yous do. There are reasons why you have come this far. But unless y'all are true to yourself, that you really WANT this for yourself then yous only go along these urges or cravings alive. Perchance the aroma with bother me later equally i regain my sense of smell, or mayhap the smoke stinging my optics, but the cigarette no longer has the power to beacon me . I am on Mean solar day 6 smoke complimentary. cold-turkey. Perhaps i will want fresh air to exhale and inquire for him to go exterior to fume. I am gratis, no longer have to endure the cold, worry how i aroma, spend my money on something endangering my very life , when i could spend that on healthy activities. (get out dancing more ofttimes, go bowling, crimper, walk down or ride my bike to the seniors coming together place and afford  pay to play cards, lawn bowl, shuffle board,  line-dance or acquire a arts and crafts or woodworking, ceramics, art ) You will notice i didn't say spend more on healthy food, because eating salubrious doesn't hateful spending more than, it just ways choosing wisely.

I Want  to help others achieve their goal  of condign non-smokers. I won't wish them luck... I wish i could quit smoking is Not the same equally i Want to quit smoking. Please take the time to read some of my posts out there. Nourish the 2 free seminars/webnar by CBQ method of cessation. Understand yourself. Make the commitment.  Shed the Fear. (You practise not need to purchase their product at the cease, but use the knowledge you proceeds. It volition be well worth the couple hours.) Don't do this for me. Do information technology for YOU!

Congrats for making the right choice and quitting. I am proud to say i have been a non-smoker for half-dozen days now and never going back !

Many people WISH they could quit smoking, just like myself delay information technology  because nosotros don't recollect we can break the improver.   Information technology is like wishing to win a lottery, merely practise you actually believe you will win it? You are here for support in that belief and to confirm that it Tin be done. Afterward watching  the CBQ webinar  on line for  costless,  it confirmed what i am well-nigh to tell y'all.

In that location are steps in quitting smoking and the outset one, is equally every bit important as the other 3 steps. You lot take to Desire  to quit.  At present even if y'all have some little doubts and practice what she asks you to exercise during the free part of the webinar, you will come to shed those doubts.

Now, i have to tell you here that i was 4 days fume free (cold turkey) and had done pretty much the aforementioned affair every bit what she was proverb on this webinar. I would strongly suggest anyone to at least have a look at it. I signed up for the second free one every bit well, and though i found it generally repetitive i would over again advise you to spotter information technology. (yes she offers you a course, step by step for a toll) I practice non know what all is involved, but if you are self motivated, yous will figure it out for yourself. The iv steps are really all you lot need. Encounter, i am not trying to sell you lot annihilation hither.  I accept to admit that I quit without meaning to after taking a lung cleanse of turmeric, ginger, honey, onion and water. All the ingredients are healthy and now that i have quit smoking, i establish found means to incorporate these into my diet (soup, sandwich, curry , tea)  You can find this on line and over again i brand nothing. The recipes on line are still. I took ii tablespoons first affair in the morning and 2 Tablespoons before bed. Delight inquiry the ingredients and /or inquire your doctor if these are safety for you lot and your medications.

I started eating healthier foods and wanted to cutting down on the smoking and then i did so by putting them across the room. Got the additional bonus of some exercise past being forced to get off my butt. and also the delay and distract practise.  7 days later i am down 5 lbs. Not only down 5 lbs, simply something curious happened.

On the 8th day, a Monday morning i got up, put the kettle on for java and sabbatum downwards in my lounge to play poker on line when i realized i didn't really desire a cigarette only however.   And then i put it off (delay and distract) . Ii hours afterwards i had half of one, continuing up in the bathroom.  Information technology took discipline, merely i only had three full cigarettes that solar day. Tuesday i had confidence that i could quit then joined this site for addition support and advice. That twenty-four hour period i had 5. ( I was a 43 yr. smoker upwards to 28 or more than a twenty-four hours. ) So I had taken some other huge step towards achieving my goal. Wednesday forenoon i got up and resisted the urge for two hours, took 2 drags and got such a nicotine rush i had to put it out. (smoked but 3 that mean solar day) . That meant that there was very piddling nicotine left in my body which would mean less sever urges and less frequent. . (no affair what method you lot choose, you can't get effectually this one... withdrawl  FROM NICOTINE is one you lot will accept to face sooner or later to some degree)  That is the merely withdrawl and  that lasts almost 3 days.

Thursday morning time i got up and decided to QUIT.  Quit right in that location and so. Why expect for my quit date in 7 days and go along on similar this. I doubt i could get downward to just 1, and even if i did, and then what? I was ready and i WANTED to QUIT.

My lung cleanse is getting depression at present and i try to notice the site to get recipe and i become a similar site (aforementioned recipe) saying how it helps to reduce nicotine cravings. Ginger and turmeric had backdrop that  CURBED NICOTINE CRAVINGS. Its no wonder I seemingly had less of a battle than most people.  I didn't proceeds weight either, because i was eating good for you and the ginger and or turmeric suppressed appetite.  Of course i was keeping decorated too.( no exercise, although i should) .. researching the best foods for wellness. (not weight loss) I had my support team. I told my parents that i quit (after years of pushing) My spouse and daughter are now giving thought to quitting as well.  Even more rewards than i had hoped for.

So that is how i came to quit. The  CBQ is a must watch. She says you must do the steps in social club, and  i see how it would be easier, merely for those of y'all with NRT'southward or oasis't washed the steps I all the same remember you would gain valuable information.  I know that fifty-fifty though i had gotten through the hardest part of nicotine withdrawl (with help from my tonic) which only lasts for 3 days, i however had those urges. Subsequently watching the webinar i no longer do. I did non buy her product, merely i practice believe in information technology.    I don't like that someone SELLS  a cure, but if it saves lives....

I did not buy her production, so i do non know all she advises during the four steps. At that place were some exercises, but non sure if any ways to reduce cravings of the nicotine itself. Urges after that are just in your head. As they explain, nosotros go eight hours to sleep without the nicotine waking us , why is it so difficult while we are awake?  For example:  Doctors prescribe medications to address the symptoms, only not necessarily the cause. The problem is still at that place. Permit's set up the real problem.

               MY THOUGHTS

Your best conclusion is /was/has been or volition be TO QUIT.
Adjacent was your wise decision in joining this group and learning. The four D's are vital. Know them and learn them, and do them!
Your next move is to learn the 4 C'south... pretty much the same as the four D's But CBQ program addresses the psychological mindset.  Fifty-fifty i found this very calming. And knowledge is Power.

In conclusion, you have been motivated enough to have read this long (i don't know what it is, except that i and then want you and others to all succeed equally i have. ) I don't want jealousy , or thanks , or praise and i certainly don't desire your money....and i won't wish you luck.. Quitting smoking has absolutely nil to exercise with luck. I WANT  you lot all to better your lives past doing everything in your power to quit and go along the quit.

          lol...SPYING ON THE OTHER CAMP

Today i am      on my  7th DAY smoke gratis... midnight is the first week milestone. To date I have posted some pertinent information to what i feel was a fast, pretty painless quit. I tried once or twice many, many years agone to quit . I have non seen the CBQ cessation method before. Even though i did not buy their production, they accept sent me more video to watch (luring me in for the quit) I will watch because i do believe cognition is ability.  I will share what i larn with you.

Until so, keep the fauna down and enjoy some other smoke gratuitous twenty-four hour period!

So I have made it to Day 7 without relapsing into the pit. Today i do fee free. I hope it is not premature. To brand sure that i don't ever fume again, i am reading Allan Carr'south book  The But Way to  Stop Smoking Permanently.    I started information technology last dark and can't put it down.  My Spouse brought it home to read... and quit the vile drug of nicotine too.   Halfway through the book and i am feeling more hopeful that non only can i exist smoke and nicotine free, but free of whatsoever  psychological hold .... no more than urges. EVER.   Nicotine has fooled ,poisoned,  pacified , altered our minds, made us despise our selves, ruined our banking concern accounts, our dreams, and our health. I pass up to leave  information technology any agree over me.        .

I have much to exist thankful for.   Amazing Grace says then much.    In one case was blind, but now i see......Amen

    Thanks marianne

Truly , no reward could be greater than the the reward of freedom.

I do accept a question that i promise one of the coaches, or even a member may be able to respond.
Every bit i am reading Allan Carr'due south book The only way to Stop Smoking Permanently  now that i take already quit,  where as  people are supposed to read the book while smoking, and at the cease accept their last cigarette with no remorse and no urges always. (maybe 5 days nicotine urges, barely perceptible )  He shows how the mind has been altered by the nicotine as to requite smokers a different perspective, or delusion. and by understanding, be free of subsequent urges. . Am i to have that celebratory last cigarette ? (I cut back cigarettes but before this quit, and what i draw from reading is  "made the cigarette all the more precious".   uuggghh nasty , vile, destuctive poison.

I an half way through the volume ( i can't put information technology down!)  merely am afraid to continue any further . Practise i accept to exist smoking for it to work?

    Advice urgently required, thanks!

    CAN WE RID THE URGES?

Urges are tedious and tedious. If you are nicotine gratuitous then y'all are past the most persistent urges.  Nicotine withdrawal is xx%, the other 80 % is in your mind. It simply remains considering y'all permit information technology to . Understand that the nicotine sabotaged your brain to allow its survival. Why else do you continue smoking something so awful tasting, why can't you lot just put information technology downward when you know it will kill you if you don't? Why do smokers say they enjoy smoking, we don;'t even recall smoking virtually of them!  If you believe only how wonderful or bodies and the brain is, all the functions they practice endlessly. Believe that the nicotine  hullo-jacked the brains dopamine because we allowed it to  We need to uncondition what we did. I don't know if just Believing  what i am telling you will help, simply it sure can't injure. !

I AM And then    Non MISSING   THE FRIEND

I am certain nosotros all feel (or felt) a little sadness at ending a long time relationship. May i take the time to correct yous to the absolute truth regarding friendship. Or to go to the betoken, lets review what a friend isn't or doesn't practice:

A friend isn't constantly  working against your desire to  quit
I friend doesn't give the illusion of giving assist while the whole fourth dimension sabotaging your efforts
A friend doesn't go you hooked and literally choke you to death
Your friend is a  controlling sneaky entity that alters your very brain making yous believe that y'all need him to reduce your stress, increase your concentration while in fact the very opposite is true
Our so called friend was the origin of our stress, cravings , slavery, and health problems
Magically he alters the encephalon to think the cigarette tastes good when we know (and have known since the get-go when we started that it is atrocious tasting)
This friend makes us prevarication bold faced to truthful friends and fifty-fifty to ourselves, that we savour smoking, that nosotros tin can quit any time we want to , Then our friend goes om  to hook other souls who believe that nosotros speak the truth or why would exist smoke such a vile affair, pay good money for information technology and risk our lives?
Your friend has made you lot into an addict... but you could never admit that to anyone... not fifty-fifty yourself
The then called friend has made y'all delusional and controls you lot
And your friend is going to fight to stay on the top to do and then

Sorry to be so harsh on your friend, just if you truly desire to quit smoking you first need to face the truth. Most importantly you demand to Desire to quit for You.    I sincerely hope the hard facts may enable you to do that now. Denounce your monstrous friend in one case and for all. Win your Freedom back. It feels so good.

I read on and he specifically mentions that ex-smokers can achieve the state of listen to become Happy non-smokers.And then i tin now go on to read on. I doubt whether i will accept to accept that cigarette since the whole practise is to let go of our illusions.  Which i accept and think is why i have been so successful. I intuitively did things right and have the correct mind set and have quit. Once that is achieved we but have to actually Exist happy that we are not-smokers, and I am.... not merely very happy just truly blest to be 1.

GET UNBRAINWASHED AND Sympathize YOUR CRAVINGS

I practice believe psychology is the key to  quitting for good .  Until we stop craving, because we experience deprived of what we Thought the cigarette was doing for us, it makes it hard to stay quit. Until nosotros can know for sure that nosotros actually are costless, nosotros have doubt, and hence don't achieve the truthful liberty.  (that is what i was experiencing when i asked if i had to accept another cigarette to complete the ritual in Allen Carr's book. I didn't want to jeopardize the procedure to go a Happy Non-Smoker...... because i had one little doubt)

When you finally understand that smoking did absolutely nothing for you lot. Nicotine in fact hi-jacked your brain, and  is definitely non a friend. Tin can you decisively Want to quit. permanently, and be a Happy Not Smoker because you lot will not feel deprived (why would y'all crave for something y'all no longer want, that was in fact an illusion that cost your coin and wellness)
.Now I  do non know anything most psychology merely I,  every bit have many others , accept quit smoking. But are they Happy? Exercise they still crave?  Are cravings making them miserable?  A craving starts every time you put out a cigarette. (nicotine) Are they agape they will start again and only get-go the vicious cycle all over once more, only to  despising themselves for succumbing.and further destroy their health.

My quit was relatively easy   i retrieve because i wanted to , i believed i could and would. And did! I may have had fleeting nano-seconds of an urge once in a while in one case past the nicotine withdrawal. simply no desire to smoke.  I read Allan Carr'due south volume just to reinforce my quit..... simply anyone who yet has cravings really needs to read it likewise. (also as whatsoever nicotine user)

Open your minds and exist free!

Quitting is non piece of cake. There is no magic potion or pill and like you said, if at that place were,  there would be few smokers left in the world.      So i accept it that if we all here agree to that statement, then Most smokers Exercise  actually concur that cigarettes taste awful?  Did you have to forcefulness a lungful and promise not to gag or throw up?

Merely,  how do nosotros banish the cravings that are in our head? Starting time you accept to banish the desire of wanting a cigarette. Yep you can avert other smokers (some are your friends) and deprive yourself not only of smoking but a social life every bit well.  Hate the nicotine for making y'all experience this way. Stop wanting nicotine in your life.  Put the arraign where it belongs.... on your dearly departed friend, the cigarette. Stop missing it, stop grieving its loss. it was no friend.. quite the contrary. Nicotine altered your listen and gave you the  illusion that cigarettes gave you pleasure, clarity, and  confidence,  In reality, it did null for you but cost yous $$$$ and poor health.  Be gratis of the desire for it and you volition become a  Happy Non-Smoker.    A reverse of how the habit came to exist. . Remember about this. Believe it.  What do you lot have to lose simply the cravings?
So thankful to have broken free. May all the Smokers in the World find there freedom too.

These are my opinions, belief and experience. Other views are welcome here. Don't forget to introduce yourselves to me and others on my new thread in Welcome.

Thank you and then much Brieffree

I run across many here determined to be costless, but none every bit determined and so supportive every bit you. Yep i take tried to quit a couple of times a few decades ago. (and failed miserably) Kudos to those who persist and have the grit to effort once more and over again.  I was lucky this time around. Lucky, determined and ready. I call up that is key.

Keep the inspiration going Brieffree.   I do and so believe that soon information technology will be your turn to truly be free.
